Massive Worldwide Underground 2008 – VIP entry with Urbanattic (@ 6pm till late)
MASSIVE WORLDWIDE is coming to town! Bringing wicked sounds from across the planet for a night of amazing dance music! DJ’s from the North, South, East and West of the globe will be spinning mind-blowing tunes and mixes that will elevate your soul – Underground Style. Featuring DJs Erik Nilsson, Scott Alert, Cosmic Gates, Bass Agents and DJ Nikki!
And as special friends of the attic & Urbanattic, you are specially treated to party with us in the VIP area where the ticket fee of RM 95 will be waived! Yupp, you read that right ... you're getting ENTRY IN FOR FREE!
To get on the guest list all you have to do is email your name and guests to info@attickl.com
Names for the guest list will close 18th Dec and if you are not on the list, you are not getting in for FREE, NO IFs, NO BUTs on the day!
Day 2: Sunday Dec 21
Chari-tea Bazaar Party by Charity Mafia @ 2pm till 6pm
Take the afternoon off to shop, munch and mingle for a good cause! Brought to you by Charity Mafia, founded by a group of friends who in the midst of the current economic downturn remembered that there are many more unfortunate people out there who still need their support.
They will be hosting Hi-Tea sets at RM20 per set (inclusive of coffee/tea, scones, sandwiches, and other scrumptious food for the soul). Also on sale will be limited edition recycled carrier bags, notebooks (handmade by our members), baked food, handicrafts and much more!.
Do come down to support this cause as 100% of the proceeds will go to Precious Children’s Home. The children will also be at the event to entertain us with Christmas Carols, whilst spreading holiday cheer! And as an extra treat music composer and singer songwriter YURI WONG will also make an appearance for an acoustic performance!
Performance by On the Niche @ 9pm
Stay on and allow your senses to be entertained by On the Niche's acid jazz sounds! Made up of Nish on Keyboards, Laura on Bass and Izwin on vocals, this band offers unique rhythms and funky sounds not to be missed.
Day 3: Monday Dec 22nd
Urban Jam Sessions: Rock (@ 9pm)
Calling out all rock music enthusiasts! Its time to put an end to bedroom air guitar sessions in front of the mirror, come join our house band led by John on bass for a night of anything goes jamming session! Share the passion for rock with others up there on stage! And for every jammer that goes up and jams along with the house band will receive a 1st FREE drink from the bar … just for making music. Rock on!
Day 4: Tuesday Dec 23rd
Attic's Got Talent Alumni Showdown # 1 (@ 9pm)
Mid 2008 we held a talent competition for all budding musicians, welcoming talents who perform solo, duo and even groups. From Season 1 of The Attic’s Got Talent competition emerged heat winners who shone brighter than the rest and we now welcome back Nick Davis & Arjuna on stage to awe you before we kick start the second part of the competition!
Day 5: Wednesday Dec 24th
Acoustic Awe (@ 8.30pm)
Presenting humble singer songwriters that ready to blow your minds away with soul baring originals as well as all time favorite covers, delivered with intense and captivating showmanship. Be prepared for awesomely mellow and uniquely distinct performances by The Von Torappu Torio, Nick Davis and friends.
The night won't be ending early as we're sure to be partying hard to welcome in Christmas Day, so think chugging down eggnogs as DJ Snow Symphony reigns the decks for all you good and naughtys!
Day 6: Thursday Dec 25th
Junk in the Trunk - X’mas Edition!
4 pm till 9pm
Our venue will be scattered with normal everyday people displaying personal possessions looking for new homes! There will be vendors displaying pre-loved as well as brand new items for sale. Everything priced at an unbelievable jaw dropping bargain price! We're talking clothes, shoes, bags, accessories, household appliances, books, CDs, , ex boyfriends, ex girlfriends, unwanted wedding gifts; unique family 'heirlooms' It's a mad jumble sale galore!
Day 7: Friday Dec 26th
Rock Hysteria (9pm onwards)
One stage. 3 bands. Ready to rock it out for your listening pleasure. Presenting An Honest Mistake, A Vacant Illusion & Hollow Tunes. Each band distinct in sounds but equally enthusiastic in showmanship as they offer great originals. On the decks will be modest rockstar, guitarist for local rock band They Will Kill Us All Edwin spinning out electro indie rock.
Day 8: Saturday Dec 27th
Sound InFusion (10pm onwards)
Introducing a collaboration between masters of the decks and musical instrument maestros. Joining forces for the first time, presenting DJ Snow Symphony behind the decks dishing out sexy house tunes as Adil on Saxophone stands along side to further intrigue and add a little je ne sais quoi to party music!
Day 9: Sunday Dec 28th
Chill Out Sunday (9pm onwards)
After a long hard week of loud happenings, we now take things down a notch but still ready to entertain before the new week launches into madness. Featuring acoustic duo Poppy who oozes a voice like warm honey and playful relaxing melodies from The Dogen, a Malaysian + Indonesian band.
Day 10: Monday Dec 29th
Urban Jam Sessions: Jazz (9pm onwards)
It’s all about the jazz baby! Bring your instruments and jam with the house band led by John on bass. Strum the guitar or sing a tune, anything goes. For jammer that goes up and jams along with the house band will a 1st FREE drink from the bar … just for making music.
Day 11: Tuesday Dec 30th
New Beats on the Block (9pm onwards)
This day of the week showcases aspiring performers that possesses musical talent that differ from the norm. Welcoming 80’s rock influenced band Rock N Roll John who recently won third place at the Global Battle of Bands competition and fun loving pop cover band Brothers from Another Mother.
Day 12: Wednesday Dec 31st
It’s the ultimate New Year Eve Rock Out! The party is on the street as there’ll be vendors selling delicious on the go food, drinks from Urbanattic, street fashion clothing from various independent & online boutiques as well as band merchandise! Non stop rock from early evening brought to you by Mosic Works with bands like Dance to the Radio, Maddame, Day Seven, Stone Revivals and Bittersweet charging up the energy on stage until countdown then its over to DJs of Foulworks Independent Movement IVANX and Darth SID for non stop beat thumping electro. We bid adieu 2008 by partying our way in 2009!
